IRON AGE would like to congratulate MADE OUT OF IRON and Stefanie Hohn on being awarded the best Foal at the 2012 International DQHA Championship in Aachen, Germany from October 19th – 28th, 2012.  MADE OUT OF IRON was the 2012 Futurity Champion Weanling Stallion Early and then crowned the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS.

IRON AGE has an outstanding show career with impressive wins at all the major shows.  He has earned the impressive titles of NSBA World Champion at the age of 2 in the 2 YO Open Hunter Under Saddle Futurity.  He also was the Reserve NSBA World Champion in the 2 YO Limited Open Hunter Under Saddle futurity.  He was shown successfully in many of the major futurities as a 2 YO – winning several prestigious events such as the Tom Powers and Southern Belle Futurity.

We continue to hear that the foals possess size, talent, disposition and movement.   The foals are showing tremendous promise for great things.   As a Junior Sire, IRON AGE is already a Congress Champion & Reserve Champion, 2 X NSBA Reserve World Champion, Reichert Celebration Champion & Reserve Champion and multiple futurity producing Champion Sire with his oldest foal crop being 2-Year-Olds.

As his foal crops continue to age, we are very excited to see these champions excel in multiple events.  It also highlights the sire power that IRON AGE possesses as the champions are out of mares with a variety of bloodlines.

IRON AGE was tested for the black gene.  He was tested by UC Davis and the results were homozygous for the black gene – meaning he is unable to sire a Red based foal.

Semen is available domestically and internationally throughout Europe and Australia.  IRON AGE is enrolled in the DQHA Futurity and is standing at Gumz Farms in Morganfield, Kentucky.  You may visit his website at  For more information on breeding to Iron Age, visit Gumz Farms’ website at
