An Update With Ironwood Acres
Donna Hendley, of Ironwood Acres, has some big things going on! First, they would like to congratulate the new owner of MDR Impulsive, Gavin Pope! MDR Impulsive will now be standing in Raymond, Illinois at Pope Farms.
The sale of MDR Impulsive means Ironwood Acres will be putting all of their focus on Frosty The Goodbar! This gorgeous red roan is by Zippos Mr Goodbar and out of Invest A Step, a granddaughter of The Invester. He is standing at DeGraff Stables, Liberty Farm Equine Reproduction Center, LLC in Midway, Kentucky. He has sired a Congress Champion in the Two Year Old Non-Pro Western Pleasure, multiple NSBA World and Reserve World Champions, AQHA Youth World Top Ten in Equitation, Congress Top Ten and Finalists, as well as numerous Futurity, Circuit and All Around Champions!
The Frostys have won in Youth, Novice Youth, Amateur, Select Amateur, Open and Leadline classes! They have great minds for Youth or Amateur riders.
“Frosty’s” winning babies include:
- Hear The Money Talk, owned and shown by Whitney Ward of Florida. This team had numerous wins last year as a 2 year old, including the 2011 All American Quarter Horse Congress Two-Year-Old Non-Pro Western Pleasure Futurity.
- Shez Been Frosted, owned by Loretta Magnuson of Minnesota, who finished her Superior in Amateur Select Western Pleasure and has points in Green Western Riding with trainer Eric Peterson.
- Makin Good Choices, owned by The Johnson Family of Minnesota. A true youth horse, shown by Caitlyn in Youth Western Pleasure, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle, Halter and Leadline with 3 year old Macey!
And congrats to A Frosty Touch for placing 7th in Green Working Hunter and 6th in Progressive Working Hunter, shown by David J Conner in both classes for owner Emma DeBoer at the 2012 All American Quarter Horse Congress! “Bobert” was NSBA World Champion in Green Working Hunter and Reserve World Champion in Green Hunter Hack, both by Lanie DeBoer and is qualified for the 2012 AQHA World Show with Lanie.
Ironwood Acres wishes the best of luck to Shez Talkin Frost in the Two Year Old Western Pleasure Stakes at the 2012 All American Quarter Horse Congress! Shez Talkin Frost is owned by Robin Beall, of Minnesota and will be shown by Jodie Ploog. Shez Talkin Frost won last year’s NSBA World in longe line while owned by Donna Hendley.
