NRHA Ride a Reiner Returns to Congress
Oklahoma City, Okla. – September 19, 2013 – By Christa Morris – During the 2012 All American Quarter Horse Congress, the National Reining Horse Association gave a select group of lucky riders the thrill of piloting a well-tuned reining horse. That opportunity will return this year on October 12 and 13 with the help of the Ohio Valley Reining Horse Association (OVRHA), an official NRHA Affiliate. To be held in Cooper Arena on the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ride a Reiner will be offered in four sessions, including an exclusive session for youth riders.
NRHA appreciates the Ohio Quarter Horse Association (OQHA) and OVRHA for bringing this event to reining fans, as well as William Bowen, Nick Nelson, Robin Schoeller and Brett Walters for providing their expertise to lead the sessions.
WHAT IS RIDE A REINER?
NRHA Ride a Reiner gives selected riders the ability to test-drive a reining horse with top-notch instruction from reining trainers. For those who have some riding experience, NRHA Ride a Reiner provides the opportunity to enjoy a dizzying spin or even a sliding stop on a well-trained reining horse.
While Reining has long been associated with the All American Quarter Horse Congress, 2013 will be the second time for NRHA’s groundbreaking and popular Ride a Reiner to be part of the world’s largest single-breed horse show. NRHA will give some lucky attendees the chance to experience the thrill of executing Reining’s signature moves October 12 and 13 in Cooper Arena.
