Have you heard the latest from the Reichert Celebration?! This big show, held this year August 30-September 8, has some big news for the 2013 Equine Chronicle Color Classic… a class designed to help promote the color breed, as well as it’s trainers and riders. Exhibitors show to four judges total- three from a list of NSBA judges already hired. The fourth judge will be chosen randomly via computer selection from a list of slot owner nominations. The new news for 2013 includes:

NO entry fee if entered by August 1st!

The class will no longer be a Maiden Western Pleasure event

Prize money while leaving the pen

These changes are designed to help widen the range of horses that are able to show in the class. In the past, horses could not have been shown prior to this class (maiden event). This change will widen the pool of eligible 2 year olds, however there is a Maiden Bonus in the Open division. Currently, there is a minimum of $25,000 in added money!

If you do not get your entries in by August 1st for The Color Classic, it is an entry fee of $250. This also applies to any horse changes made after August 1st.

Be sure to check out the Reichert Celebration website for the latest details, entry forms, and show schedules.
