Jay StarnesIt was another unanimous win for VS Flatline at the 2013 Congress! Jay Starnes rode the gorgeous roan stallion to Congress Champion in the Three Year old Open Western Pleasure Futurity finals. The pair had made it through the first go, and a semi final round to ride in a very competitive finals. “He’s just a really easy horse to show,” smiles Jay. “Doesn’t take a lot of prep, and is just a lot of fun. After showing in the Amateur yesterday morning, I don’t think he’s gotten up until today.” “Kody” has had a great Congress, winning the Amateur Western Pleasure unanimously with owner Kristen Galyean, as well as winning the Three Year Old Non Pro with Kristen as well. Jay had gotten Reserve in the Junior Western Pleasure earlier at Congress.

“We plan on showing him in Junior at the World Show,” explains Jay. “He’s bred a lot of mares, but doesn’t have babies on the ground yet. I really hope they will have his mind. Such an easy horse, with a great mind.”

A second congratulations goes to Rewind And Repeat with Gil Galyean. Owned by Susan & Gary Dempze and shown by Jenna Dempze of Wisconsin in the Amateur events, this horse has been having a great year as well after winning Reserve in the Two Year Old Masters last year.

Third place was awarded to Twist Of Moonlite with Casey Willis.

Congratulations to all exhibitors! It was a great class.
