Arizona Sun Circuit Schedule Delayed by Rain
The 2016 Arizona Sun Circuit is not living up to it’s name for the start of one of the country’s premier winter circuits. The Scottsdale, Arizona event is off to a soggy start that has delayed much of the show schedule. Heavy rains moved into the Scottsdale area, forcing show management to revise the schedule to make best use of the facilities and allow for arenas to dry out. The management is well prepared with two contingencies to work from depending how weather conditions pan out. Below are the schedule updates, and to stay up to date with the latest news for the Sun Circuit, visit their official website and Facebook page. Once the rain moves out of the area, they are predicting the sunny Arizona weather to return and a fantastic show!
The SmartPak Trail Day Clinic will go on as scheduled in the covered Arena 5A, starting at 10:00
The $20,000 added DT Horses Roping Futurity will proceed as scheduled in the Markel Insurance Arena (Equidome) and Cutting will move to the Equidome indoor Warm-up Paddock
The Farnam Free Clinic with Bob Avila will still be held in the Equidome at 5:00pm
MOST CLASSES ARE POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY
The exceptions are Youth Roping, AZ High School Rodeo Association Cow Horse, Youth Cow Horse and Boxing and the Junior and Amateur Cow Horse. All of these classes will be in the Markel Insurance Arena (Equidome)
The rest of the original Saturday classes will now begin on Sunday, and the entire schedule moves back one day. Please consult the arena schedules for locations.
