Professional Horses Services, LLC is excited about the results of the May ONLINE Auction, which closed on the evening of May 21st.  Mike Jennings cites “This sale set several New Records for the Online Auctions we have done since December 2012.  Our new High Seller brought $30,100.  We registered 276 bidders and had 71,855 page views for the online catalog by the end of bidding.”

The High Seller, Lot 13, Ellusive Clue, a 3 year-old daughter of Mr Elusive, bred to JMK Bocephus, sold for $30,100 from the JMK Quarter Horses consignment to Virginia Webber in KS.  The second High Seller was Lot 51, Ill Be Willy Good, a 2 year-old daughter of Winnies Willy that sold for $18,000 from Claire Binkowski to Melissa Herr in VA and will train with Drew Van Hook.   The third Highest Price was  $13,500 for Lot 61, Shesa Shade Wild, a 4 year-old mare by Obviously Wild, consigned by Jennifer Sheriff and sold to Darlene Cox in FL and will be under the guidance of Kory Merrill.

Stephanie Jennings notes “We were pleased to feature the first phase of the Partial Dispersal of JMK Quarter Horses, THE AQHA Leading Breeder of Halter ROM horses.  James Kifer is always a joy to work with and offered a very nice group of horses to buyers.”  All 21 of the horses consigned by JMK sold to new owners.  The group sold for a total of $107,700 for an average of $5,128.  Mr. Kifer is serious about reducing the number of horses in his program in order to spend more time with his family and the LAR Mana Chidren’s Home in Brazil, which he sponsors.

JMK Quarter Horses will offer another group of top Halter horses in the JUNE Online auction.

A Western Pleasure Futurity prospect led the rest of the entries in the auction.   Claire Binkowski offered a very nice daughter of Winnies Willy that was already going well under saddle that sold for $18,000. We expect to see Ill Be Willy Good accomplish some big things for her new owner, Melissa Herr.

The balance of the horses in the auction offered a mix of performance and Halter horses. Those horses sold for a gross of $97,000 for an average of $4,730.

The Pro Horse Services Online auctions have seen continued growth since late 2012.  Our most recent 3 auctions had an average of 59,000 page views and 238 registered bidders.  The first 3 monthly auctions in 2013 recorded an average of 26,000 page views with an average of 121 bidders.

This Summer we have planned 2 Special auctions, in addition to our monthly online auctions, the Broodmare Affaire and a Halter Prospect Sale, which will be held in July.

The BROODMARE AFFAIRE is designed as an Online market for Performance and Halter mares with show records, produce records or championship pedigrees.  We did a broodmare auction last year in July for Halter mares.  The high seller was $18,00 and another sold for $15,000.  We had inquiries from people wanting to sell Performance mares so we decided to open it up this year.  Since we are going to provide a catalog-style pedigree by djj pedigrees, buyers will get the same information they would get in the Congress Super Sale catalog.  The bidding will open on July 21 and close on July 23.  It is best to enter by June 10 so the pedigree research can be done and the mares will receive plenty of promotion.

The HALTER PROSPECT SALE is an online marketplace for weanling, yearling or 2 year-old Halter horses.   July is a good time to offer, or shop for, prospects that can show in the Fall Futurities. The bidding will open on July 21 and close on July 23.  We want to receive entries by June 10 so the pedigree research can be done and the promotion will allow for broad coverage.

Mike Jennings adds “We are always happy to answer questions or help our customers.  Our more than 40 years experience with selling show quality horses allows us to help people get the most out of their auction experience.”

One Response to “New Records set in the Pro Horse Services May Online Auction”

  1. I would like to comment on how easy and smooth the transaction was with the Pro Horse Services Online Auction! I was the high bidder on I’ll Be Willy Good. I’ve bought several horses over the years through the Jennings sales live auctions but I’ve never bid on an ON-Line auction before and was a bit hesitant on spending the money without seeing her in person. I sat on the bid all day on this horse and waited till 30 seconds before the ending time and slammed a high bid to hopefully ensure I won her. I must admit I was on pins and needles all day watching her price rise but I had the high bid most of the day. I kept texting my trainer Drew Van Hook of Van Hook Performance Horses that I had the bid all day long. I want to assure EVERYONE that the Pro Horse Services Online Auctions was easy to sign up, and bid and I’m THRILLED with my new horse I purchased. I recommend anyone who is interested in bidding to call the owner beforehand and ask your questions before you bid. You should have NO worries about these auctions, they were courteous, professional, and helpful thru every step. It was a GREAT experience all the way thru the process! Thank you EVERYONE I can’t wait to get her to VA!
