HRTV Premieres Palm Partnership Training’s Fifth Series on April 16
Noted trainer and instructor Lynn Palm has long had a passion for teaching, and she will once again bring her vast knowledge and experience to HRTV viewers when her fifth series commences on The Network for Horse Sports, beginning on Tuesday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
New episodes will premiere weekly each Tuesday at 7:30 pm ET, with encore airings set for 10 p.m. ET. Viewers and fans may follow www.hrtv.com for the latest listings.
Palm instructed her first clinic in 1970, bringing 40-plus years of experience to HRTV audiences. No other clinician today can begin to match Palm’s proven performance record as an all-around trainer, showman, judge, entertainer and entrepreneur with a first-class reputation.
Now in front of the camera with Cyril Pittion-Rossillon, co-founder, trainer and instructor at Palm Partnership Training, Palm and Pittion-Rossillon share their knowledge using dressage principles while promoting the relationship of rider and horse.
In the highly-anticipated new series, Palm and Pittion-Rossillon present topics that will appeal to HRTV’s diverse audience. The new episodes focus on allowing our horses to be our teachers. Modeled after their dynamic presentations at the 2010 World Equestrian Games, viewers can clearly see the affect the rider has on the attitude and movement of the horse. Specifically, they demonstrate correct and incorrect examples of a rider’s position and aids communication and the resulting horse’s balance and movement. In addition to the episodes where the horse is the teacher, Palm also explores tips for hoof care and how she manages the working relationship with her blacksmith, Bill Wilkins. There are also three episodes showcasing lateral training beginning with turn on the forehand and yielding and ending with half pass for those riders seeking advancement of their horse’s balance and collection.
As a bonus for all the loyal HRTV followers, a follow up to the natural obstacle training from Series Four includes developing trust and willingness with natural obstacles while addressing bridges and water obstacles. And for inquiring minds, one episode is dedicated to “A Day at Fox Grove Farm” where audiences can get an insider’s look at what a typical day is like for Palm and Pittion-Rossillon at their multi-discipline facility in Ocala, FL. This is the viewers’ invitation to see the passion and dedication that the pair shares for their horses and their business.
“I am really proud of this new series because there is something for everyone, as riders, owners, caretakers or just plain horse enthusiasts,” said Palm. “I would also like to thank Purina Mills and Equine Specialist, Ty Springer, for contributing educational tips on properly caring for our equine partners’ nutrition throughout this series.”
