Rita Crundwell Sale UPDATE – Sunday Brings $2,368,000 in Gross Horse Sales
Update: According to Tim Jennings of Professional Auction Services, Day One of the two-day onsite dispersal sale in Dixon IL brought solid numbers. Here are the overall results:

AQHA Stallion Good I Will Be is the first horse sold today at the Rita Crundwell sale in Dixon, Illinois. The high bid went to buyer Sandra Morgan of Sandra Morgan Show Horses for $775,000. Morgan is owner and head trainer of AQHA western pleasure, hunter under saddle, longe line and all-around prospects and is from B.C. Canada. She and her husband, Dave, were the lucky winners of $35.7 million in Lotto Max last year.
With over 1000 bid numbers distributed by Professional Auction Services, “Willy” brought a lot of excitement and anticipation to the sale that is being put on to help recoup the approximate $53 million Crundwell is accused of stealing from the city of Dixon.
Good I Will Be is a 2004 Bay AQHA Champion Stallion, Multiple AQHA World Champion, Multiple All American Congress Champion, Multiple AQHA High Point Horse, Select World Champion Am. Performance Halter Stallion, Reserve Congress Champion in Western Pleasure, Multiple NSBA World Champion, Superior Performance Horse, NSBA World Champion Sire, Congress Champion Sire, Reichert Champion Sire and has won numerous Circuit Championships. He will be managed by Stephen Stephens.
