In 2012, DeGraff Stables is pleased to continue the popular Charity Program from 2011.  We will once again donate a portion of each Futurity Breeding booked to the charity of the mare owner’s choice from our list of eligible organizations.  In 2011, we chose many deserving programs and all of these will still be available in 2012 as a selection option.  We will also continue to find programs that provide relief, hope and help to individuals, and, while you may choose the charity of your choice for donation, each month we will highlight a different program.

We have chosen the Black Stallion Literacy Foundation for January’s donation, as this non-profit organization helps children discover the joys of reading and the excitement of learning through the wonders of live horses and Walter Farley’s Black Stallion books…  We thought… what better way to grow our equine horse business for future generations than to help children learn to read and at the same time… to love horses?

To participate in the DeGraff Stables, Inc. Charity Program, choose one of our Championship stallions for your mare’s mating is 2012: DGS IndyGo, DGS Vestastic, Frosty the Goodbar (AQHA/ARHA), HBF Iron Man (AQHA/APHA), Hes A Cool Hotrod (AQHA/APHA), Hot Lopin Sensation (APHA), Indian Artifacts (AQHA/AWR), Invite The Artist (APHA), MDR Impulsive (AQHA/APHA) and PR Tells A Tale.

Then, find the list of Foal Incentives and Engagements per stallion; this identifies their individual eligible futurities and is found on the stallion’s page on our website at   Make your selection and contact us!  We will contact the appropriate organization and reserve your breeding of choice.  When you pay your booking fee, DeGraff Stables, Inc. will donate $100 of each booking fee to the charity program of the month unless you specify differently!  As a mare owner, you may also choose to match the donation.  If so, please enclose an additional check made out in the program’s name and we will forward to the charity.

We realize that mare owners have many fantastic choices when it comes to selecting a pleasure horse stallion for crossing on their mare.  If your plans include one of the stallions from our extraordinary line-up of Champion Quarter Horses, Paints or Warmblood stallions for 2012, we would welcome the opportunity to work with you.

You will not only be choosing one of the great stallions available for breeding, but you will be supporting the futurity of your choice and the resulting offspring and, in addition, you will be providing enjoyment and education to youngsters by supporting The Black Stallion Literacy Foundation!  More information may be found at:
