Congress Entry Acknowledgement Card Error

OQHA is NOT requiring a negative blood test for Equine Piroplasmosis for the 2012 All American Quarter Horse Congress.

The Ohio Quarter Horse Association mailed acknowledgement cards to all agents on Friday, September 14 confirming their entries for the 46th annual All American Quarter Horse Congress, held Oct 5- 28.

An error was made, and some of the acknowledgment cards that were mailed were from 2011, and state that a negative Equine Piroplasmosis test is required for entrance onto the show grounds. OQHA is NOT requiring this test for 2012.

2012 Health Paper Requirements
All horses entering the grounds for the 2012 Quarter Horse Congress must have a negative EIA (Coggins) test within the last twelve months. Horses that originate from outside the state of Ohio must also provide a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection made out within the past 30 days before the opening date of the Congress (October 5, 2012).
