This entire show season has been teeming with successes for Al Be Graceful, owned by Seaside Farm, LP, and the mare capped off her most recent accomplishments by taking Congress Reserve Champion in 3YO Open Hunter Under Saddle, with Trisha Yamber in the irons, on the last day of the Congress. Following that class, owner Adria Smith made the “difficult decision” to sell the mare to an Austrian buyer. “Allie showed great for Trisha on Sunday and was Reserve in the Open 3 Year Old Hunter Under Saddle.  I had hoped to show her one last time in the 3 Year Old Non Pro HUS, but unfortunately Allie was kicked by a pony horse prior to the call.  Fortunately, the injury was superficial, but Allie and I were unable to compete that day,” said Smith.

Al Be Graceful “Allie” – sired by Allocate Your Assets and out of Polished Grace,  has been tearing up the show circuit since being purchased by Seaside Farm in February of this year.  Her 2011 accomplishments have included:

“Allie” has been sold to Austrian Cathrin Gutmann.  “It was a difficult decision to make, as Allie was so successful and fun for me.  However, we want to continue to promote and concentrate on get sired by our stallions.  We have two great fillies by Iron Age – She Cant Iron and She Doesnt Iron, that will be headed to the Yambers next month as our two year old prospects.  We are also looking for my next junior horse, as well,” said Smith.  The sale was facilitated by Amy Gumz of Gumz Farms and her client, Karin Prevedel, of Italy.  Prevedel had been looking for a great mare for her client Gutmann, and “Allie was an easy choice. I know Karin and Catherin will do a great job with her and enjoy her.  She will be shown throughout Europe at the major events,” commented Adria Smith.  “She has always been such a sweet and easy mare, which makes it easy for me to ‘catch ride’ her.  She is a great mover that has tons of talent and future ahead of her.  We bought her to also breed to both of our stallions, These Irons Are Hot and Iron Age.  We are planning to embryo her to both stallions early this spring before she is exported.”
