Valley Oaks Quarter Horses

Valley Oaks Quarter Horses, located in the Central Valley of California, is owned and operated by Anne and Jill Flessner. We are a family operation that focuses on the breeding, sales and showing of top quality Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure horses.
Our breeding program focuses on proven bloodlines, strong mares, and quiet minds. We breed a select group of mares each year with the goal of raising horses that we can enjoy showing. We look to breed horses that will not only be able to do their job, but enjoy doing it.

It is very important to us that our horses make it to the show pen. Helping make that possible is our in-house trainer Dana Robinson. Dana spent several years working for some of the top trainers in California including Vicky Cooper and Lyn McArthur. Her years with these trainers added experience, knowledge, and versatility to her natural skills as a trainer. We feel honored to have such a dedicated trainer who has a true understanding of horses.

Here at Valley Oaks we only offer a few of our own prospects each year. Since we cannot show them all we look to
place them in serious show homes where they can be enjoyed as much as we have enjoyed raising and owning them.
In addition to our prospects we also offer select outside prospects when they fit the goal of what our program stands for.

In 2011 we were offered the opportunity to lease RSVP Required from Rick and Dina St Onge and it was a very easy decision for us to make. We have been breeding to RSVP Required since the first year he stood to the public and truly believe in what he as a sire has to offer. We have bred a variety of our own Thoroughbred mares to him and believe we have been around enough of his foals to know that he is passing on the traits we look for in our program. He is a welcome addition to our farm and we look forward to the “colorful” future this special horse has ahead of him. At Valley Oaks we pride ourselves on Honesty, Integrity, and Compassion.
