Sure to get a second look, Chief would do great in color and SMS classes. He doesn’t need much work for the SMS and is paid up in the KBIF so he could earn money. Chief wasn’t broke until he went to Bennie Sargent’s as an eight year old. He was there eight months, started right, and ridden consistently. He really came a long way in that time, and being started that late shows what a good mind he has. He knows the basics of walk, trot, lope, whoa and back. He certainly has the potential to make a great show horse in multiple events with his good looks, conformation, size, substance, and disposition– he likes to please. Chief is not mean in any way, but I still consider him “young” due to being started late, so a more experienced rider is suggested. He’s been to one show and placed under 3 judges in color out of a good size class. He handled all of the sites, sounds, activities like he’d done it for years. Chief’s sire is Ponderosas Hitman, who has over 700 APHA points and versatility award. Chief’s dam is a point producer, and her sire and dam have AQHA points also. He loads and hauls well, stands for all work, worming, farrier, vaccinations and baths. We’re not riding much anymore and don’t show so he is offered for sale. We would really like to get him placed in a good home, so his price has been drastically reduced.  We have much more in him than what we’re asking.
