Highpoint Performance Horses' long-time trainer and exhibitor - Charlie Cole was at the Congress this year as a Judge.
Charlie invited all friends and horse 'family' to a party at the World Show where they retired Acadamosby Award (or 'Oscar' as everyone knows him). 'Oscar' holds numerous records, including being the only 3-time Super Horse winner, earner of the most World Championship with 34 World and Reserve World Championship, 23 Congress Championship and 5 Congress All-Around wins! The Good Invester is the 2004 Reserve High Point Novice Amateur horse at Congress this year!! He is by Zippos Mr. Good Bar and out of one of our Invester daughters. A tall red roan gelding who placed 4th in Novice Amateur Hunter Hack and 5th in Novice Amateur Equitation Over Fences. He is owned by Jill Wical of Hubbardston, MA.
Also, The Good Investment was 3rd in Youth Hunt Seat Equitation (12-14) and 5th in Youth Horsemanship 12-14. He is by Investment Asset and one of our Zippos Mr. Good Bar daughters. A tall bay gelding that was our Congress winner last year in Youth Hunter Under Saddle (12-14). He is owned by Cailey Dreyer - Merritt Island, FL.

The Reichert Celebration is adding $100,000 more dollars to the Equine Sports Medicine 2 Year Old Celebration Challenge and $20,000 more to the Equine Chronicle 2 Year Old Color Classic. The total purse for the 2005 Equine Sports Medicine Celebration Challenge will be $250,000.00 and the 2005 Equine Chronicle Color Classic will be $110,000.00. 10 new slots @$10,000 each will be sold for the Challenge and 5 new slots @$4,000 will be sold for the Color Classic. The slots for the Challenge were drawn lottery style at the NSBA General Membership Meeting at the Congress on October 22, 2004, and the Color Classic slots will be drawn at the Peach State Classic in Perry, GA on November 26, 2004. Their daughter, Blair, was a tough competitor at the Congress. She had won the Western Pleasure Championship at the Youth World Show. Ellen Jost, of Rick Skelly Quarter Horses, loved having you stop by the Gilligan Barn to see her Whippet Puppies she had for sale! They were five males, 5 weeks old, 2 black & white and 3 fawn & white.
